What is Allibiotic?
Allibiotic is an herbal combination formulated for the support of a healthy immune system. This botanical formula has garlic extract, which has been used for centuries to promote overall wellness. We’ve also included elderberry, olive leaf extract, oregano oil and rosemary oil to complete this comprehensive formula. ImmunEnhancerâ„¢, a non-digestible soluble fiber from larch, has also been included as a prebiotic supplement for the support of healthy intestinal flora – a key component of normal immune function.
What are the benefits of Allibiotic?
Allibiotic promotes healthy intestinal and respiratory function. It helps support the immune system and the body’s normal defenses, and helps fight against the overgrowth of yeast, fungi and unfriendly bacteria.
Take a look at what research studies show about the ingredients in Allibiotic:
Elderberry
Elderberry plant (Sambucus nigra) is a good source of protein, amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, fiber, vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. In folk medicine, elderberry has been used in the treatment of many diseases and ailments.
Elderberry has medicinal properties associated with the presence of polyphenols, which are compounds with potential antioxidant properties. Analysis of elderberry shows that it contains high biological activity components, primarily polyphenols, mostly anthocyanins, flavonols, phenolic acids and proanthocyanidins, as well as terpenes and lectins. Polyphenols can greatly affect the course of disease processes by counteracting oxidative stress, exerting beneficial effects on blood pressure, glycaemia reduction, immune system stimulation, anti-tumour potential, increase in the activity of antioxidant enzymes in the blood plasma, including also glutathione, and the reduction of uric acid levels. Elderberry has the potential to regulate defense mechanisms both in healthy individuals and those with disease. (1)
Olive Leaf Extract
Olive leaf extract (Olea europaea) comes from the leaves of the olive tree. The use of products for human health derived from the olive tree dates back centuries. It contains an active ingredient called oleuropein, which contributes to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Oleuropein, the molecule responsible for unprocessed olives’ characteristic bitter taste, is the most prevalent phenolic component in olive leaves, seed, pulp and peel of unripe olives.
The antioxidant effect of oleuropein is exerted through different mechanisms, resulting in an enhancement of the antioxidant response. In particular, the polyphenols present in olive leaves, olives, virgin (unrefined) olive oil and olive mill waste are potent antioxidant and radical scavengers with anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory properties. Garlic Extract
Garlic (Allium sativum) is one of the most widely used plants of the genus Allium that are known for their production of organosulfur compounds, which possess biological and pharmacological properties that are helpful to our health. Research demonstrates that garlic exhibits a broad spectrum of beneficial effects against microbial infections as well as offering cardioprotective, anticancerigenic, and anti-inflammatory activity.
In addition to its use as a food additive, garlic has been long used in traditional medicine with protective and curative purposes. Garlic enhances the functioning of the immune system by stimulating certain cell types, such as macrophages, lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells and more. Different studies have shown that garlic compounds are able to perform antiapoptotic, antiparasitic, proapoptotic, anticancerigenic, and immunomodulatory effects on different cells. (3)
Oregano Oil
Oregano (Origanum vulgare) is an herb that is a member of the mint (Lamiaceae) family. It has been used for thousands of years not only in food, but also for health conditions such as respiratory issues, bacterial infections and digestion, to name a few. Oregano is widely recognized for its antimicrobial activity – its antiviral, antifungal and bactericidal properties. It also has potent antioxidant, antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory effects. ImmunEnhancerâ„¢
ImmunEnhancerâ„¢ is made from arabinogalactan which is derived from the Larch Tree. Arabinogalactan has been consumed by people as a part of their diet for thousands of years and is found in a variety of common vegetables and medicinal herbs. The major commercial sources of this long, densely branched, high-molecular-weight polysaccharide are North American larch trees.
Research shows that larch arabinogalactan has an immunostimulatory effect. Recent human studies have demonstrated that dietary intervention with arabinogalactan could increase resistance to infections, therefore, these results suggest a role for larch arabinogalactan in the improvement of the immune system and defense against pathogens. A clinical study demonstrated that larch arabinogalactan increased the body’s potential to defend against common cold infection and demonstrated that larch arabinogalactan decreased the incidence of cold episodes by 23 %. Rosemary Oil
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is an evergreen perennial bushy shrub, native to southern Europe and Asia, especially the Mediterranean region. Rosemary has significant antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-apoptotic, anti-tumorigenic, antinociceptive, and neuroprotective properties. In folk medicine, it has been used as an antispasmodic, mild analgesic, to cure intercostal neuralgia, headaches, migraine, insomnia emotional upset, and depression. Furthermore, it shows important clinical effects on mood, learning, memory, pain, anxiety, and sleep. (6)
